When Municipality saluted at Morphettville on the 27th May it was Damien's 300th career winner. Trained By Tony Mcevoy Municipality was lifted over the line to help achieve this milestone.

Damien kicked off his career back in 2011 when he had his first ever race ride aboard Frenchkook which finished 7th, not long after this he was able to win aboard I'm Mysterious at Geelong for his father Glenn Thornton, A wonderful moment for the family.

Since then Damien spent time in NSW riding in the toughest state against some of the worlds best jockeys where he was able to achieve his so far biggest career victory when Time For War was able to win the Group 2 Pago Pago Stks for Rosehill Trainer Gerald Ryan.

After a very successful stint in Sydney Damien returned back to Melbourne and was able to boot home a number of Metro winners for some of our leading trainers.

The past 3 seasons Damien has been able to hold his consistency and kick home over 50 winners each season with the current season again finding the mark.

Damien made the big move to Adelaide to link up with leading Horse trainer Tony Mcevoy, where he us struck up a solid relationship and has thrived on the opportunity.

This Season alone with the support of the Mcevoy stable he has won a Group 3 aboard Time Awaits and Listed Stks winners Fox Hall, Time To Test, Silvera and Time Awaits.

With further support from a number of trainers Damien is already looking forward to the up coming new season.
